From the Studio: True Love is Blind

I’m so excited to share these gloves! I call them “Finding Out True Love is Blind.” You know, after the LouisXIV song, because I’m a nerd. I’m selling these little guys in my shop, so check them out here! I had two inspirations for these: the amazing Surrealist jewelry by Salvador Dali and the Pale Man from Pan’s Labyrinth. Who doesn’t love accessories with eyeballs, right? I was also thinking about what open and closed eyes mean. The open eye can symbolize knowledge, i. e. “the all-seeing.” But in the context of love and attraction, it can also leave us to be fooled by what we see, not what we know or feel. The closed eye, on the other hand (pun intended), allows for us to feel, not look. Or, it’s just a cheeky wink. Also a sign of deception? Either way, the power to choose is in your hands. (Again with the puns, wow. I will leave now.) Check out my Etsy and I hope you enjoy this photoshoot from a little cave at the beach. Thank you to Maddy for modeling!
