The time has come! The Season of the Witch! I am so excited to share my new collection of embroidered pieces, inspired by all things vintage Halloween! One of my favorite parts of the Halloween season is listening to Halloween music. Things like Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’s “I Put a Spell on You”, ELO’s “Strange Magic”, Donovan’s “Season of the Witch” and newer tunes like the Over the Garden Wall soundtrack and Dead Man’s Bones, which still have a really vintage-y feel. I also love Halloween pin up photos, pulpy horror posters, and vintage Halloween costumes, like those I had in my last post. So, out of those inspirations, this collection was born.

I spent the last month or so on these new pieces. The collection is made up both a robe and a garter belt embroidered with “I Put a Spell on You”, a bright green dress with “Strange Magic”, a gorgeous little corset with a beaded bat, a spiderweb-ed black garter, and a spider-y black dress as well. Referencing some of the campy retro goodness of the pin-up photos of the past, I gathered up friends Maddy and Janneke for a Vintage Halloween photoshoot. We had so much fun messing around with props and poses and Polaroids, and I hope these photos inspire some vintage witchy dreaming. My new collection can be found in my Etsy shop, here. Thanks for stoppin by! ✨

Thank you so so much to Maddy and Janneke for modeling with me!!
Happy Halloween everyone, enjoy the best season of the year!
